The idea of using an existing image as a surface on which to create new art has intrigued me since I began painting directly on my own photographs. The found image is used as a point of departure, both in terms of its representation and emotion. The  drawing is manipulated by both hand and the computer. What is hidden and what is revealed posits questions of authenticity and appropriation.
