
Linda Soberman, a printmaker and educator who maintains studios in Michigan and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, exhibits and teaches nationally and internationally. Her multimedia work includes printmaking, installation, and artist books. Her current work embraces themes of memory, loss, and the collective history and impact of the Holocaust.
She is the recipient of many awards and fellowships, including the Lifetime Achievement Jewish Woman in the Arts Award, international residencies including the Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, Italy, the First International Printmaking Invitational, Jingdezhen, China, Proyecto ‘ace in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a recent invitation to Guanlan Residency in China. Her work is represented widely in national and international venues including recent exhibitions in Mexico, Argentina, and China.
Linda was Adjunct Professor of Fine Art Photography at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, and now teaches workshops across the United States and Mexico. She has been a visiting artist at Bellas Artes, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Oregon College for Arts and Craft, Portland, Oregon, Women’s Studio Workshop, Rosendale, NY, the Vermont Center for Photography, and the Centre for Contemporary Photography in Toronto.
